2024 Bettinardi BB Series Putters
Posted by GolfBox on 1st May 2024
Whenever a new Bettinardi BB Series release is in the air, there’s a palpable level of excitement among putter aficionados and gear heads all over the world.
The BB series is Bettinardi’s flagship putter range and the new 2024 edition serves up a fresh take on a selection of the game’s most timeless head shapes.
It’s clear Bettinardi haven’t been afraid to mix things up a little, in what is the US manufacturer’s most traditional putter line.
But some things never change. The exceptional craftsmanship and ultra-precise milling that has made Bettinardi synonymous with high performance remains as strong as ever in the new seven-model 2024 BB Series.
A NEW DAWN
Bettinardi’s BB Series has been leading from the front for more than 25 years, however, the latest refresh offers a couple of subtle refinements that will make a significant difference out on the greens. Eagle-eyed observers will notice a change to the shape and geometry of the bumpers, shoulders and rear cavities on the new BB Series.
What’s the thinking behind that, you may be asking?
It’s shifted the centre of gravity of the putter head to a more neutral location at address, a move Bettinardi believe will help golfers hit the sweet spot more often. However, a much more evident upgrade has occurred on the face of the 2024 BB Series. Bettinardi have applied a new Perpetual Flymill pattern, which features a wavy, fluid design that is said to provide superior feel and better control.
The new face pattern is also tuned to create audible feedback at impact, with a putt out of the sweet spot sounding distinctly different to one stuck off-centre. But what hasn’t changed is the BB Series’ one-piece 303 stainless steel milling and premium Black Pearl PVD finish.
BETTINARDI 2024 BB-1
The BB-1 is Bettinardi’s take on the classic Anser shape. It’s a familiar, instantly identifiable design and the plumber’s neck hosel and subtle 2024 updates will once again make it a popular choice.
BETTINARDI 2024 BB-1W
A wider version of the compact BB1, the BB-1 Wide features a sound slot on the flange. It gives the putter a distinctive pop off the face and the wider footprint offers an interesting mix of forgiveness and feedback. It is the only LH model in the new BB Series.
BETTINARDI 2024 BB-8F
The BB8 makes a return but with a hosel configuration not seen since 2011. The BB-8 Flow is wider, squarer and boxier than the BB1 but the addition of a flow neck hosel permits greater rotation of the head, which is a perfect match for arcing putting strokes.
BETTINARDI 2024 BB-28SB
Making a return from the 2022 BB Series is a reworked BB-28 Slotback putter. Fitted with a spud neck, or single bend shaft, the BB28 Slotback offers near face-balanced performance and the slotback flange helps frame alignment.
BETTINARDI 2024 BB-28SB CENTRE
With the slotback flange aiding alignment at address, the centre shafted version of the BB-28 Slotback offers more rotation of the head during a stroke. It’s perfect for arcing strokes, with the spud neck version better suited to a straight-back-and-through motion.

BETTINARDI 2024 BB-28SB ARMLOCK
The Armlock version of the BB28 Slotback naturally has a longer shaft, which is offset by a heavier head in comparison to the spud neck and centre shaft BB-28 Slotbacks. The putter also features extra loft on the face to accommodate the unique requirements of the Armlock technique.

BETTINARDI 2024 BB-48
A round mallet featuring a slant neck hosel, the BB-48 is a new design for 2024. It offers plenty of toe hang, which makes it well suited for golfers who don’t take it straight-back-and-through, and is the only mallet in the new 2024 BB series.
