THE NEW CALLAWAY FUSION DRIVER PUSHES THE BENCHMARK IN FORGIVENESS AND SPEED.

So what are we getting with the new version of the Fusion?
Well, it does feature a Low and deep CG location, Enhanced sweet-spot, forgiving head shape and is Draw bias. But, these are all things you would expect from a game improving style of driver. We want to know the 'NEW' stuff.
If you purchase this Big Bertha Fusion, you will have the confidence knowing that it does push the boundaries on engineering and conforming golf products. As most of the specifications are on the limit of the USGA regulations. It's like you are a kid again, jumping over next doors garden to retrieve your ball without getting caught. The driver feels that 'naughty'.
Speed Step Crown
We all love speed! Right?
Aerodynamically, the Speed Crown decreases drag and improves airflow to maximise club head speed. A longer and thinner head profile cuts through the air like a 'knife through butter'. Preventing any huge loss in speed that can be largely affected by physics.
A Triaxial Carbon Crown, which is 35% lighter than a normal titanium driver, saves lots of weight throughout the head. This can then be re-positioned elsewhere for a pin-point CG location.
High MOI Head Shape
The triangular head shape looks aesthetically pleasing at address, but it's the increase in MOI that is the main reason for the unique head shape.
Previously, Callaway produced 'square headed' Drivers that really boosted the MOI, but were not practical for control and launch. This is where a triangular head brings the best of both worlds with a high enough MOI with optimum launch angles.
Shafts
It's no secret that the longer the shaft, the quicker the clubhead speed. So, why would Callaway have a shaft that is shorter than industry standard, available in a driver designed for speed?
The head is the power house in this partnership and carries all the technologies to produce the required aerodynamics and speed, as previous mentioned. I mean, we know that the driver head is 'almost illegal' it's that close to the mark. This allows Callaway to offer the Diamana Red at 0.5" shorter to enhance the control factor.
I would expect this to become a more common theme in the next few years.
The Fusion's standard shaft is the high performance Mamiya UST Recoil, available in 45g to 55g depending on shaft flex.
