MGI ZIP ELECTRIC BUGGIES - SMOOTH MOVERS

Posted by GolfBox on 16th Oct 2017

You can call it the evolution of a golfer.

It starts by lugging a bag full of clubs on your back, then progresses to pushing and pulling a bag and buggy under your own steam.

However, a golfer truly becomes one with the game when they advance to the next evolutionary step; when they get their hands on an electric motorised buggy.

And at the cutting edge of the evolutionary advance is the new MGI Zip range of electric motorised buggies.

MGI ZIP RANGE - MADE FOR HOLDING AND FOLDING

Built specifically for Australian conditions, MGI will release four new Zip models, the X1, X3, X5 and Navigator, that will be available at GolfBox in mid-October.

The MGI Zip electric buggies are real space savers, with the one-piece frame taking up 25 per cent less space when folded up.

And the MGI Zip buggies will also save the old back and shoulders, being ultra-easy to set-up or fold-up and 12 per cent lighter than previous models.

Taking a different tack to the standard 12V power, the MGI Zip range boasts 24V lithium batteries that have been redesigned so the battery pack now clicks into place vertically.

The rechargeable 24V battery pack comes in two storage capacities: an 18-hole 250W or 36-hole 380W model and the lithium battery pack can stay in place when folding the buggy up.

Every MGI Zip model has an ergonomic T bar handle that is height adjustable, a holder for a GPS unit, and an innovative jockey wheel at the rear for further stability that can also be tucked away.

All MGI Zip buggies are available in either a stylish black or striking white colour scheme and come with a two-year warranty.

MGI ZIP X1

A whisper-quiet 230W electric motor propels the MGI ZIP X1 along the fairways smoothly and silently.

The three-wheel design has a fixed front wheel that can handle all types of terrain, with the quick release rear wheels sporting the standard tread.

The MGI ZIP X1's digital electronics control the speed with a push of a button located near the handle, and a battery indicator means you'll never get caught short on power out on the course.

MGI ZIP X3

The MGI Zip X3 features advanced digital electronics that will make your life a breeze out on the fairways.

But for those golfers who visit far-flung parts of the course, the MGI ZIP X3 also performs like a workhorse thanks to a swivelling front wheel and quick release rear wheels fitted with an all-terrain tread.

A controlled distance function allows the user to program a distance into the X3's screen, safe in the knowledge that the MGI ZIP X3 will stop in its tracks as soon as the required distance is reached. Just think of the possibilities: program in the distance from the 18th to the players' lounge after the round and go ahead and order a frothie – the X3 will meet you there.

The MGI Zip X3 also has two odometers, ideal for measuring drives, distances between shots or the total trip walked out on course. The tap and go variable speed control links to the 230W electric motor for quiet but powerful performance.

MGI ZIP X5

An electronic park brake and downhill speed control are the standout features on the MGI Zip X5 electric buggy.

With one press of a button, you’ll be able to relax and reminisce about the time you chased after an out-of-control buggy on a rapid downhill descent, confident the park brake will halt the MGI Zip X5 on even the steepest of slopes.

And with downhill speed control, there will be no mad rush to manually reduce speed as the MGI Zip X5 gently descends down a hill at a controlled speed.

Like the X3, the MGI Zip X5 is fitted with a controlled distance function and odometers that can be reset at the push of a button.

The MGI Zip X5 features a swivelling front wheel that is also able to be locked and the quick release rear wheels are furnished with a robust all-terrain tread.

MGI ZIP NAVIGATOR

Crammed with the latest technology and innovative stylings, the MGI Zip Navigator sits unopposed as the king of the fairways and is as ‘hands-off’ as an electric buggy can get.

Featuring a full directional remote control that sits in the palm of your hand, the MGI Zip Navigator is like the teenager of the Zip series: it doesn’t need as much supervision, leaving you free to roam on your own.

The MGI Zip Navigator is also fitted with a patented gyroscope that always keeps the buggy tracking in a straight line, even over the roughest and toughest of terrain.

Twin calibrated electric motors power the Navigator with finesse and the endurance 380W battery pack is fitted as standard to spin the all-terrain treaded quick release rear wheels all day long.

The front wheel is beefed up with a suspension system for ultra-smooth operation over the golf course and the MGI Zip Navigator also features downhill speed control.

The MGI Zip Navigator is the bees knees of electric buggies and its performance won't disappoint.
