New Odyssey Ai-ONE and Ai-ONE Milled Putter Models

Just over a year ago, Odyssey announced a new flagship putter line. It was called the Ai-ONE and for a putter release it generated a lot of heat.

It was the first time artificially intelligent design and supercomputer modelling had been employed in putters to produce a specific performance outcome.

The aim of the Ai-ONE was to standardise ball speed across every part of the putter face, which would help everyone — from tour pros to weekend warriors — to make more putts. The design of the new Ai-ONE insert ensured putts would travel the intended distance, regardless of where the strike occurred on the face. And that would lead to fewer putts coming up short and fewer three putts from long range.

Jon Rahm put an Ai-ONE putter straight in the bag and so did millions of others. The range became an instant hit. Odyssey have now returned with a follow-up release of eight new Ai-ONE and Ai-ONE Milled putters to keep the momentum rolling well into 2025.

THE Ai-ONE INSERT

The eight new Ai-ONE putters feature the same A.I.-designed, speed normalising face insert that was so successful in the first batch.

For those who missed it first time round, here’s a quick recap.

The insert on Odyssey’s Ai-ONE range is a White Hot synthetic insert, while the Ai-ONE Milled range features a milled, copper-coloured insert made from titanium. The inserts may look different from the outside but they both feature the same topology behind the face that is the cornerstone technology of the Odyssey Ai-ONE range.

However, only the Ai-ONE range (the putters featuring the White Hot insert) provides a sneak peek of what an A.I. designed insert looks like. A transparent viewing window reveals a random topography of aluminium contours, assembled around what looks like an elbow down the middle.

It doesn’t make any sense but Odyssey are absolutely confident it’ll help you roll your rock better on the greens.

THE NEW Ai-ONE MODELS

There are eight new Odyssey Ai-ONE putters in the new batch: four Ai-ONE mallets and four Ai-ONE Milled models, comprising three mallets and one wide blade putter.

The entire Odyssey Ai-ONE range is fitted with a counterbalanced Stroke Lab shaft.

ODYSSEY Ai-ONE 24

The 24 putter is one of the largest mallets in the Ai-ONE line-up. The new mallet is a curvy take on a formidable high-MOI mallet and features a massive single sole weight at the rear of the head.

ODYSSEY Ai-ONE WINGBACK

The Wingback is an intriguing design. It pushes weight to the corners of the head via its distinctive outer wings to boost stability. However, a pair of adjustable sole weights are positioned close to the middle of the head, shifting the centre of gravity forward to offer more of a blade feel.

ODYSSEY Ai-ONE 2-BALL JAILBIRD MINI

Mixing two of Odyssey’s hottest head shapes might seem confusing at first, especially when the 2-Ball alignment system obscures the Jailbird head shape to large a degree. But the Jailbird shape supercharges the perimeter weighting of a 2-Ball putter to offer the best of both worlds. Stable and forgiving, the 2-Ball Jailbird Mini should be popular.

ODYSSEY Ai-ONE 2-BALL JAILBIRD CRUISER

A Jailbird head featuring a 2-Ball alignment also appears in Odyssey’s Cruiser offshoot of the Ai-ONE line. Cruiser models like the Jailbird 2-Ball feature heavier heads, longer shafts and bulkier grips with additional counterbalancing in the butt end.

ODYSSEY Ai-ONE MILLED 2-BALL T

A classic 2-Ball design with a milled titanium face, it’s the copper-coloured highlight on the 2-Ball alignment system that really catches the eye. The T addendum refers to the titanium face which is installed throughout the Ai-ONE Milled range.

ODYSSEY Ai-ONE MILLED JAILBIRD MINI T

The classic Jailbird stripe contrast really pops in the signature gold and blue of the Ai-ONE Milled range. Certain to be a popular choice given the Jailbird was one of the hottest putters  of 2024.

ODYSSEY Ai-ONE MILLED ROSSIE V T

The classic Rossie mallet features sole wights on the heel and toe, which can be adapted to dial in a specific swing weight. A single sightline differentiates the Milled V from the Ai-ONE Rossie S, which features a dual alignment line.

ODYSSEY Ai-ONE MILLED ONE WIDE T

The only blade in the new Ai-ONE release, the Milled One Wide T has a slightly shorter blade length than the regular Ai-ONE One model but is much longer front to back. Offers some of the stability and forgiveness benefits of a mallet but retains the classic feel and responsiveness of a blade putter.
