Scotty Cameron Phantom Putters 2025

Posted by GolfBox on 15th Jan 2025

A year after launching 10 models in the Phantom debut, Scotty Cameron follows up with the release of five mallets in 2025.

If you happen to be a Scotty Cameron disciple who stands on the wrong side of the ball, i.e. a left-hander, get excited. Really, really, excited.

Three of the five new Phantoms are left-handed models. Yep, lefties finally win!

SCOTTY CAMERON PHANTOM MALLETS

Phantom mallets feature milled 303 stainless steel faces that are connected to aluminium sole plates and flanges. The multi-material platform gives Scotty Cameron designers the ability to allocate mass in the putter head with pinpoint precision.

Depending on the model, the putter head can be made heavier or lighter in different areas to influence the centre of gravity. And that’s what gives each Phantom mallet its unique feel and high level of stability and forgiveness.

THE NEW LEFTY MODELS

The 2025 influx lifts the total of Phantom lefty models to five, with new Phantom 5, Phantom 11 and Phantom 11 Long mallets joining the original Phantom 7.5 and Phantom 11.5.

If you’re a lefty who moans about the dearth of equipment choice, the Scotty Cameron Phantom range should finally right some of the injustice.

SCOTTY CAMERON PHANTOM 5 (LH)

The Phantom 5 is near face-balanced compact wingback mallet fitted with a mid-bend shaft.

SCOTTY CAMERON PHANTOM 11 (LH)

The Phantom 11 is a face balanced high-MOI mallet, fitted with a wide body and wings that are connected to an integrated aluminium flange and sole.

SCOTTY CAMERON PHANTOM 11 LONG (LH)

The Scotty Cameron Phantom 11 Long features a heavier head, tungsten sole weights and a stiffer 38-inch mid-bend shaft compared to the Phantom 11. The design is intended to engage the shoulders more and keep the hands quieter for a smoother putting stroke.

FOR THE RIGHTIES

Two new right-handed Scotty Cameron Phantoms arrive in 2025 — the Phantom 5.2 and Phantom 7.2 —and both feature a plumber’s neck hosel.

The Scotty Cameron plumber’s neck is a classic look, appearing on legendary Scotty Cameron putter such as the Newport 2. Plumber’s neck-optioned Phantoms were previously a tour only offering, employed by players such as Justin Thomas, Cameron Young and Davis Riley.

The hosel gives the new Phantom mallets hybrid-like performance, combining the more active feel of a blade with the performance and forgiveness benefits of a mallet.

SCOTTY CAMERON PHANTOM 5.2

The Phantom 5.2 is a compact mallet featuring shorter wings than the Phantom 7.2. Fitted with a plumber’s neck hosel, the Phantom 5.2 offers more of a blade-like feel and toe hang than the Phantom 5, but less than the Phantom 5.5.

SCOTTY CAMERON PHANTOM 7.2

Featuring longer wings, a plumber’s neck hosel and a more angular appearance, which also doubles as an alignment aid, Scotty Cameron 7.2 offers a high level of stability. It looks like a blade from the front and offers a moderate level of toe hang to suit arcing strokes.
