The Bushnell Tour V3 Vs The Bushnell Tour V4

This blog has been heavily influenced on a question that I personally wanted answering.
What really is the difference between the Bushnell Tour V3 Vs the Bushnell Tour V4?
My first impression was "Oh these look very similar". With more research, I also realised that they do feature very similar specs to each other.
But it wasn't until I used the new V4, that I realised how different these two rangefinders are.
I had the pleasure of taking both rangefinders around The Vines GC in Western Australia to give them a true head to head battle.
During the round I found that the V4 sits much better in the hand, which also contributes to a more stable grip when aiming at the pin. But the most impressive thing is the speed of the display on the V4. Okay, so the speed wouldn't cause a huge delay to my game, nevertheless I am the kind of golfer that has a very short Pre-shot routine, so I will avoid any added delay if possible.
I did feel like a professional sniper as I didn't miss the target once when getting the yardage. The V3 would occasionally catch the bush/tree behind, which would consequently give me an incorrect yardage.
Overall, I would consider 'upgrading' to the V4, just for the great feel and improved speeds. But I wouldn't say that it would improve my game.
If you do not have a Rangefinder then I would strongly suggest that you purchase the Bushnell V4 Rangefinder. It feels like cheating, but it is legal. Unless you purchase the V4 slope edition which is illegal for tournament use.
