Tiger Woods News - New TGR Company? | GolfBox
Posted by GolfBox on 25th Oct 2016
While golf fans still await patiently for his return to tournament golf, Tiger Woods has launched a new company called TGR.
The company will oversee Woods' existing business interests but the latest announcement has also fuelled
speculation that TGR will produce Tiger's own brand of golf equipment.
Tiger Woods has been a long-time user of Nike Golf equipment but with the Swoosh's decision to depart the
sector in August, TGR could be a prospective buyer of Nike's Golf club manufacturing assets.
So, if Tiger Woods does make a move, he will follow the likes of Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman into name-branded golf clubs.
Nike's move to depart the industry comes at a time Adidas is also trying to offload its golf assets by trying to find a buyer for Taylormade.
'We are really looking forward to the prospect of featuring Tiger Woods clubs here at GolfBox. It's early days for the TGR Brand but we hope for a successful partnership in the not too distant future'.
Woods announced he will return to competition in the Hero World Challenge, a tournament he hosts, in December.
