Hannah Green What's in the Bag (2024)

LPGA superstar Hannah Green has enjoyed an outstanding 2024 season, with a stretch of stellar play putting the 27-year-old from Perth within reach of the world No.1 ranking for the first time in her career.

Green won her third title of 2024 at the BMW Ladies Championship in Korea (17-20 October) after holding off France’s Celine Boutier by a shot. Earlier in the year, she won the HSBC Women’s World Championship (29 Feb-3 March) in Singapore before successfully defending her title at the JM Eagle LA Championship (25-28 April) in Los Angeles.

Green also represented Australia at the Paris Olympics in August where she finished tied for fourth, just outside the medals. She also competed at Tokyo Olympics in 2021, the same year she claimed the LPGA’s AON Risk Reward Challenge which saw her pocket a US$1million bonus.

Green announced herself to the golf world when she won a major in just her second year on tour. Her victory at the 2019 Women’s US PGA Championship saw her become only the third Australian woman to win a major.

In 2022, Green made history at the TPS Murray River tournament when she became the first female golfer in the world to win a four-round, mixed-gender tournament.

Here are the clubs in Hannah Green’s bag:

Hannah Green WITB

DRIVER – SRIXON ZX5 MK II LS (10.5˚)

Green is a brilliant ball striker and has become one of the longer players off the tee on the LPGA Tour.

She currently plays a Srixon ZX5 Mk II LS driver, which is Srixon’s lowest spinning driver, although she has played a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke driver this year.

Powering the Srixon ZX5 Mk II LS’s performance is Srixon’s rebound frame technology, a revolutionary system that distorts and flexes across multiple areas of the head and face at impact to focus energy into the ball.

And the driver’s lightweight carbon fibre crown locates the CG low to create a high-launching, low-spinning trajectory.

The ZX5 Mk II LS driver offers Hannah significant ball speed and distance gains and makes her task off the tee much easier.

A Mitsubishi Chemical Tensei Red shaft is fitted to Hannah’s Srixon ZX5 Mk II driver.

FAIRWAY WOODS – SRIXON ZX MK II (3W, 15°)

Hannah relies on a Srixon ZX Mk II three wood to launch the ball off the tee and from the fairway.

Like her driver, her ZX Mk II fairway wood is powered by Srixon’s rebound frame technology,  which is responsible for the club’s high-launching distance.

A Fujikura Ventus Red shaft features on Hannah’s three wood. Hannah has also used a Titleist TSR2 five wood this year, fitted with a Graphite Design Tour AD Orange shaft.

HYBRID – PING G425 HYBRID (26˚)

Hannah carries a PING G425 hybrid, a club she uses as a long iron replacement.

The PING G425 hybrid is a blend of iron and fairway wood and offers a high-launching trajectory that is ideal for holding greens.

It’s a versatile club and its ability to slide through thick rough with little resistance is a real asset. The club has now been superseded by PING’s G430 hybrid.

Hannah’s PING G425 hybrid is fitted with a Fujikura Ventus Blue shaft.

IRONS – SRIXON ZX5/ZX7 MK II (5-PW)

Hannah uses a combo set of Srixon’s ZX5 and ZX7 Mk II irons. Both models are big on feel and workability, which are essential for a player of Hannah’s calibre.

The forged irons have been tweaked from their first generation, with a smaller cavity-back design shifting mass behind the sweet spot and out to the perimeter.

It makes Srixon ZX Mk II irons highly workable and provides a buttery soft feel off the face, with a new PureFrame design reducing undesirable vibrations.

Hannah plays ZX7 Mk II short irons but opts for ZX5 Mk II long irons, which feature high-density tungsten in the toe to make them extremely forgiving for a player’s iron.

Both the ZX5 and ZX7 MkII irons are equipped with Srixon’s V-shaped sole to help them glide through the turf and stop them bottoming out behind the ball.

With a thin top line and an elegant, compact profile, Hannah’s Srixon ZX5 and ZX7 Mk II combo set complements her elite ball striking perfectly.

WEDGES – CLEVELAND RTX 6 ZIPCORE (50°, 56°, 60°)

A trifecta of Cleveland RTX 6 ZipCore wedges gives Hannah extreme versatility when playing from the short stuff, chipping around the greens or splashing out of bunkers.

They are wedges designed for better players and the feedback and feel they offer is particularly beneficial for an elite player such as Hannah.

RTX 6 wedges offer forgiveness via the new ZipCore design, a low-density core that acts like perimeter weighting.

The wedges also have two other Zip technologies: HydraZip, which offers more grip from the grooves when it’s wet, and UltiZip, which creates higher spin rates via a new edge angle and the addition of two extra grooves on the face.

Cleveland RTX 6 ZipCore wedges are highly versatile, with a wide variety of sole grinds and bounce options to suit a player’s chipping and pitching style.

Hannah opts for a mid-bounce grind in her 50° and 56° wedges and low-bounce grind in her 60° wedge.

PUTTER – SCOTTY CAMERON CIRCLE T PHANTOM X 5.5

Hannah changes putters frequently but is currently using a Scotty Cameron Circle T Phantom X 5.5 flatstick.

It’s a tour-only putter but is similar to the retail version of the Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5.5 mallet. Hannah plays a centre-shafted model.

BALL – SRIXON Z-STAR DIAMOND

A three-piece tour ball, the Srixon Z-Star Diamond’s mid-spin, mid-launch characteristics make it an ideal partner for Hannah’s game.

It has a compression of 88, which by tour standards is on the softer side, while a new dimple pattern creates less friction in the air for extra distance.

The Z-Star also has the thinnest cover of any golf ball on the market and features a Spin Skin+ coating on the cover that increases spin around the greens.

Combining soft feel, speed and spin, the Srixon Z-Star Diamond gives Hannah full control out on the course.
