Rickie Fowler What's in the Bag? (2025)
Posted by GolfBox on 19th Feb 2025
While he carries the burden of being the best golfer without a major, Rickie Fowler’s freewheeling style and casual demeanour on the course has long made him a fan favourite. He is one of the most likeable pros on tour and while his trademark orange outfits don’t appear nearly as often as they once did, Fowler appears closer than ever to winning his first major.
Rickie held the lead heading into the final round of the 2023 US Open at Los Angeles Country Club then broke a four-year winning drought a couple of weeks later when he claimed the Rocket Mortgage Classic (June 26-July 2) in Detroit. At the ZOZO Championship in Japan, Fowler logged his best finish of 2024 when finishing fourth. One of the most popular players on the PGA Tour, Rickie Fowler will be hoping to break his winning drought in 2025.
What clubs does Rickie Fowler use?
Let's take a look what's inside Rickie Fowler's bag.
WITB UPDATE: 14/02/2025: Rickie plays new Cobra DS-Adapt driver, TaylorMade BRNR Mini Driver and 2025 Titleist Pro V1 golf ball (American Express Championship).
WITB UPDATE: 30/09/2024: Rickie switches to a L.A.B. Golf DF3 putter at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
RICKIE FOWLER DRIVER
Rickie switched to Cobra’s new DS-Adapt X driver in 2025 after previously playing a Cobra Darkspeed X driver.
The new DS-Adapt driver features an aerodynamically efficient head shape that improves ball speed off the tee. Rickie’s DS-Adapt X driver is the model that offers a balance of speed and forgiveness and a mid-spin/mid-launch profile.
It features a forward and rear sole weight port with 10g and 3g interchangeable weights. Rickie, however, has 3g weights in both the front and rear port, as well as some additional weight tape to achieve the perfect launch and spin for his DS-Adapt X driver.
Rickie has a Mitsubishi Chemical Diamana WB 73 TX shaft fitted to his Cobra DS-Adapt X driver, which features the new FutureFit33 hosel, which offers the most loft and lie angle combinations in the game.
RICKIE FOWLER FAIRWAY WOODS
TAYLORMADER BRNR MINI DRIVER (13.5°) - COBRA LTDx LS FIVE WOOD (17.5°)
Rickie carries a TaylorMade BRNR Mini driver in his bag, which he employs as a strong-lofted three wood. The BRNR Mini driver features a 304cc head and its copper aesthetic riffs off TaylorMade’s Burner series of drivers from the late 1990s. Twin weights on the sole of the BRNR Mini driver can be swapped to deliver more speed or more forgiveness.
The BRNR's smaller head gives Rickie the ability to play the Mini driver off the deck, but it's also an excellent alternative for Rickie off the tee.
Meanwhile, Rickie's 2022 LTDx LS five wood produces a low ball flight and low spin rate, which clicks with Rickie’s high swing speed and helps him squeeze out extra yards of distance with a penetrating ball flight.
The Cobra LTDx LS fairway wood possesses a forward centre of gravity that cuts spin and features a pair of sole weights that can be arranged to produce a neutral flight or fade bias. Rickie’s TaylorMade BRNR Mini driver is matched with a Mitsubishi Diamana WB 73 TX shaft, while a UST Mamiya LIN-Q M40X White 8F5 shaft features on his LTDx LS five wood.
RICKIE FOWLER IRONS
COBRA KING TOUR BLACK FORGED IRONS (4-PW)
Rickie’s set of Cobra King Tour Forged irons are compact player’s irons that offer a perfect balance of workability, control and forgiveness. The irons are forged from soft 1025 carbon steel while a vibration-damping thermoplastic insert is positioned directly behind the sweetspot.
It’s a combination that provides the irons with a soft forged feel and superb feedback. While he previously used Cobra muscleback blade irons, Rickie’s cavity-back King Tour Forged irons offer slightly more forgiveness when he fails to strike it flush out of the middle. KBS Tour C-Taper 125 S+ shafts feature on all of Rickie’s Cobra King Forged Tour irons.
RICKIE FOWLER WEDGES
COBRA KING SNAKEBITE (54°, 56°, 58°)
A trio of Cobra King wedges provide Rickie with all the spin, versatility and confidence he needs when hitting into, or around, the greens.
Rickie’s current Cobra King wedges are all 2016 models, so they are a familiar bunch. Cobra’s latest wedge is the Snakebite, which features a new face milling pattern and the impressive Snakebite groove design. Snakebite grooves are sharper and larger, which promotes maximum spin and significant stopping power on the greens. Cobra Snakebite wedges are available in three grinds: Versatile, Classic and Widelow.
RICKIE FOWLER PUTTER
L.A.B. GOLF DF3 PUTTER
After playing a custom Odyssey Versa Jailbird putter for a couple of years, Rickie switched to a L.A.B. Golf DF3 putter in late 2024.
The L.A.B. Golf DF3 is a high MOI mallet that is designed to stay square on its own (L.A.B. stands for lie angle balanced and the DF stands for directed force). While the putter isn't exactly pretty it's extremely forgiving, which should help Rickie hole more putts.
RICKIE FOWLER GOLF BALL
After a long stint playing a TaylorMade TP5 golf ball, Rickie has switched to the new 2025 Titleist Pro V1.
The 2025 Titleist Pro V1 is a three-layer tour ball. Featuring a lower compression, the Pro V1 feels softer than the Pro V1x and also spins less on full shots and launches a fraction lower. However, it delivers the signature Pro V1 low-spin/low-launch performance profile off the tee while retaining impressive spin and stopping power around the greens.
