Japanese brand XXIO are maestros at engineering golf clubs specifically for players with moderate-to-slow swing speeds, which is another way of saying anyone who swings it below 95mph.

After pretty much inventing the lightweight super game-improvement category 23 years ago, XXIO now have their 13th generation teed up and ready to go.

It’s called XXIO 13 and if you don’t swing it with the speed you once did, it’ll offer you an “Advance to GO” card back to your halcyon days of ball striking.

Dripping with the latest ball-speed boosting and distance-lengthening technology, the new XXIO 13 Drivers, Fairway Woods, Hybrids and Irons also features dedicated women’s models.

But in a completely unexpected and surprising turn of events, the XXIO 13 line-up is complemented by something entirely new: a range of clubs built for golfers with faster swing speeds called... XXIO X.

Being able to swing your irons faster because they’re lighter is great for creating speed and distance, but control is just as important.

Control and speed are often competing interests in club design, however, XXIO have managed to merge them in a perfect harmony in their new XXIO 13 and XXIO X irons.

But XXIO haven’t forgotten about feel either, with the new lightweight, multi-material irons featuring a purity of strike that will guarantee satisfaction.

The two XXIO 13 irons are available in two distinct models, to deliver reliable performance off the tee for swing speeds that are fast or slow.

Featuring slice beating offset and a large and forgiving profile, XXIO 13 irons will inspire confidence for golfers with a slow-to-medium swing speed. The four-piece design is loaded with tungsten-nickel weighting, to lower the centre of gravity and launch the ball higher, while a forged titanium face cup is linked to the trampoline-like Rebound Frame to boost ball speed via an expanded sweet spot.

The XXIO X iron is built for players with faster swing speeds, with the three-piece design geared for high-speed, high-launching ball flights. The thin and flexible forged steel face is supported by a MainFrame, which maximises flex at impact to amplify ball speed off the face. Featuring a more angular head shape and thinner topline than the XXIO 13 iron, the X encourages shot shaping and its V-shaped sole prevents the leading edge from digging into the turf, with the flatter trailing edge permitting maximum workability.

No-one in the game takes women’s golf more seriously than XXIO.

The XXIO 13 Ladies offering proves it once again (as long as you’re right-handed).

Offering the same technology advancements as the rest of the XXIO 13 line-up, the Ladies clubs feature lighter heads, shafts and grips and more loft to help launch the ball higher into the air, along with a unique blue/purple colour scheme.

Available in four lofts (10.5°, 11.5°, 12.5°, 13.5°), the XXIO 13 Ladies driver is finished in blue/purple and features a Ladies version of the XXIO MP1300 shaft, which is offered in three flexes.

Featuring the same women-specific graphite shaft as the Ladies driver, the XXIO 13 Ladies fairway comes in a 3 wood (16°), 4 wood (18°), 5 wood (20°), 7 wood (23°) and 9 wood (26°).

The XXIO 13 Ladies hybrid is offered with the same shaft as the driver and fairway and is available in four lofts: 4H: 22°, 5H: 25°, 6H: 28°, 7H: 31°.

Designed for a woman’s swing, XXIO 13 Ladies irons are easy to hit so you can fly it higher and further. The irons are fitted with the same Ladies MP1300 shaft for continuity throughout the Ladies set and are available in 5-PW, AW and SW.
