Cobra LIMIT3D 3D Printed Putters

Posted by GolfBox on 18th Apr 2025

While the milled versus cast putter argument rages on and provokes zealotry on both sides, another protagonist has quietly entered the debate through a side door.

Cobra’s new LIMIT3D putter range is neither milled nor cast. Rather, it’s incubated by the millions of ones and zeroes that reside within a 3D printing CAD file.

Coming hot on the heels of Cobra’s LIMIT3D iron release, the cutting-edge collection features mallet and blade putters created entirely by Cobra’s metal printing machines. Ready to take a closer look?

WHY 3D PRINTING?

Cobra delivered the first 3D-printed golf club — the limited-release KING Supersport 35 putter — back in 2020 and continue to be the greatest ambassadors of 3D printed golf clubs.

So, what’s so special about 3D printed golf clubs, you ask?

3D printing can create componentry that simply isn’t possible using traditional forging or casting techniques. Complex, highly intricate designs can be formed by Cobra’s HP Metal Jet 3D printing machines, which squirt molten 316L stainless steel layer by layer to create the finished product.

In the case of Cobra’s new LIMT3D putter release, it’s the delicate lattice structure within the putter head that could only be achieved with 3D printing. The latticework saved up to 170g of solid mass, which Cobra redistributed to optimise performance without compromising the shape, and eliminated the need for drilled pockets and lightweight soleplates.

It freed up Cobra to position weight more strategically in the LIMT3D design, resulting in added stability, better feel and sound, and a more consistent roll.

COBRA LIMIT3D 3D PRINTED PUTTER MODELS

COBRA LIMIT3D 3D ENZO PUTTERS

The LIMIT3D Enzo putter is a high MOI mallet available in two different hosel options. Its wings promote stability and help frame the ball for alignment purposes.

Cobra LIMIT3D Enzo SB

Single bend shaft configuration for face-balanced performance.

Cobra LIMIT3D Enzo SN

Short slant hosel model that offers a moderate level of toe hang.

COBRA LIMIT3D 3D PISTA PUTTERS

The Cobra LIMIT3D 3D Pista putter is one for the traditionalists. An Anser-style blade putter, the Cobra LIMIT3D Pista is available in two neck options.

Cobra LIMIT3D 3D Pista 45

A plumber’s neck model with full shaft offset. Offers 45° of toe hang.

Cobra LIMIT3D 3D Pista 60

A small flow neck version with a half shaft offset. Features 60° of toe hang.

WHAT’S A DLT FACE?

Descending Loft Technology has appeared on the face of many previous Cobra putters and gets another run on the new Cobra LIMIT3D 3D Printed putters.

The concept is licensed from LA Golf, who recently bought the DLT rights from SIK putters, the company who introduced Bryson Dechambeau to the technology.

DLT features four different lofts on the putter face. The bottom edge starts at one degree then graduates in single-degree increments to the four degrees found at the top of the face.

The DLT concept compensates for putting strokes that manipulate loft and there’s some logic to it. The face gradient standardises loft to 1.5° no matter where the strike occurs, guaranteeing greater consistency in speed and accuracy to hole more putts.
