PING Scottsdale Putters
Posted by GolfBox on 4th Mar 2025
If you’re the kind of golfer whose equipment purchases are driven by performance and value in equal measure, then PING's new Scottsdale putter line-up should be on your radar.
While the PLD line-up is PING's premium, precision milled range built to accommodate the game's best players, the new PING Scottsdale line-up is a much more practical collection of putters aimed squarely at amateur golfers.
The new Scottsdale line-up consists of nine classic PING head shapes, with a mix of blades, mallets and blade-mallet hybrids. But perhaps the most intriguing inclusion is the Craz-E high MOI mallet, a PING cult classic that makes a long-awaited return as a mid-length, counterbalanced model.
The Scottsdale collection of putters is also intended to suit every style of stroke, which is something you normally don’t see in a range aimed at golfers on a budget.

PING’S PEBEX INSERT, TWO-TONE ALIGNMENT
Now that we’ve got your attention, we should point out that the Scottsdale putter range does not feature the ultra-precise face milling seen in PING’s premium PLD putter range.
Instead, Scottsdale is a cast putter range fitted with a one-piece synthetic PEBAX face insert, which does a fairly decent job of delivering consistent distance control while providing a soft feel at impact.
The lightweight nature of the synthetic PEBAX insert meant PING were able to save weight at the front of the putter and redistribute it elsewhere to increase MOI and boost stability throughout the Scottsdale line-up. And the insert extends across the full width of the putter face, covering even the most far-flung areas of the putter face that amateur golfers are known to explore.
PING Scottsdale putters all feature a black/nickel high-contrast finish that is intended to aid alignment. A Superstroke Tour 2.0 PING pistol 2.0 grip features on every model except the Craz-E, which is fitted with a 17” Superstroke Tour 1.0 pistol grip.
PING SCOTTSDALE PUTTERS 2025
PING Scottsdale Anser
The classic PING Anser is a genuinely iconic putter. A heel-toe weighted blade, the Scottsdale Anser features a single alignment line and a plumber’s neck hosel with a full-shaft of offset. Will suit gently arcing strokes.
PING Scottsdale Anser 4
Identical to the PING Anser in size and shape but features a three-quarter offset slant neck hosel. The PING Scottsdale Anser 4 offers more toe hang than the Anser and will suit more aggressively arcing putting strokes.
PING Scottsdale Anser 2D
A perimeter weighted blade, the Scottsdale Anser 2D is a bigger, heavier and more forgiving Anser putter. A full shaft offset plumber’s neck hosel sets up for a slight toe hang, to suit strokes that open and close the putter face during the stroke.
PING Scottsdale B63
Riffing off the classic PING B60 putter, the new Scottsdale B63 blade features softer edges and rounded bumpers. Perimeter weighted, the B63 is fitted with a full shaft, slant neck hosel that sets up a slight toe to accommodate slightly arcing putting strokes.
PING Scottsdale DS72
The PING Scottsdale DS72 is a mid-mallet tuned for face-balanced performance. Features a ball width rear cavity that doubles as an alignment aid. Will suit straight-back-and-through putting strokes.
PING Scottsdale Prime Tyne 4
A fang-style mallet that provides stable and forgiving performance. The Scottsdale Prime Tyne 4's slant neck hosel creates extreme toe hang to suit strokes with significant face rotation.
PING Scottsdale Prime Tyne C
The PING Scottsdale Prime Tyne C is a centre shafted Prime Tyne mallet that features no shaft offset for zero torque performance.
PING Scottsdale Oslo 3
The PING Scottsdale Oslo 3 is a large, rounded perimeter weighted mallet. Low centre of gravity enhances accuracy and long slant hosel tunes the putter for a slight toe hang.
PING Scottsdale Craz-E
A PING cult classic. The Scottsdale Craz-E is a high MOI mallet, balanced with extreme perimeter weighting and a low and rearward centre of gravity. Face balanced to suit straight strokes.
